Middle School Credits
One (1) unit of credit shall be granted for successful course work completion for each semester. One (1) semester equals one-half (1/2) of the year.
Each 7th and 8th grade student must attain a minimum of eighty percent (80%) of the total credits attempted in order to be eligible for promotion to the next grade level. Each 8th grade student must earn at least 8 out or a possible 10 credits.

To be eligible for promotion to the next grade level, each 7th and 8th grade student must earn at least one credit from each of the year long classes
CREDIT RECOVERY
7th and 8th grade students who DO NOT meet the minimum credit requirements will be given the opportunity to recover credits or complete an alternate mechanism in order to become eligible for promotion to the next grade level. Credit recovery options include, but are not limited to, lab classes, scheduled intervention, summer school, and after school tutoring.
